Axle arrangement length: 36 mm.
Feldbahn locomotive Ns2f of the Lokomotivbau Karl Marx was one of the most built
Feldbahn locomotives in the former DDR.
With the factory number 48318 you was presented for the first time in 1952 at the
Leipzig trade fair.
Powered by a 30 HP motor which transmits its power via connecting rods on the
two axes of the locomotive.
The transmission received kmh for the first two course multi-plate wet clutch and a
third course with a multi-plate dry clutch for speeds up to 14km/h.
The locomotive has an electrical system and is designed for track gauges from 485 to 630 mm.
550 copies of this popular Feldbahn locomotives were produced from 1952 to 1959.
Due to its robustness, it is still often Park railway and Museum railways, also in
Western regions, in use.
There the locomotive models such as the example set by as variants with an open and closed cab.
The small locomotives are powered by a 3 volt micro precision motor with gear reduction
for prototypical slow speeds and strong traction.
By a built-in magnet, increases the pressure of the locomotive on the metal-backed narrow
gauge tracks and to ensure a safe power from the tracks and smooth slow ride.
The locomotives have a coupling pin to the realistic train formation, as well as a
magnetic clutch to operate with Loren and cars from the Bush tramway range on the
back of the driver's cab.
As in the original, smallest track radii can be cycled with the Feldbahn locomotive (up to 100 mm).
She can be used due to the compact construction and the low space requirement very well to
the diorama design and supplementation of existing model railroad layout.
The VEB Lokomotivbau Karl Marx Babelsberg (LKM) was the largest manufacturer of
diesel-powered railway locomotives in the former DDR and went from the plant engineering
and railway equipment Corporation, formerly Orenstein and Koppel in Berlin.
1948 was the inclusion in the VVB LOWA
(with the abbreviation LOWA founded in 1945 National Association called businesses of locomotive and wagon construction of the DDR).
The diesel locomotive type program, launched in 1950 included numerous narrow gauge versions.
«The VEB LKM existed until the end of the DDR in 1990 and has been following in 1992 after
onversion into a limited company and the "settlement"closed.
Today, a business park is located on the former site of the LKM in Potsdam.
